What's all the fuss about?
All fuss, no fuck. Ha ha. Sorry, but Square is for squares. Last time I went the bartender was chatting up his friend/and or potential trick, and could not be bothered to attend to patrons. Piped music was irritating generic techno crap, most guys sat quietly sipping their drinks, and I wondered why I was there in the first place. This bar is supposed to be the most happening spot in gay Akron. Ok, what am I missing? Why are Cleveland and Akron so lame when the gay communities are so large here? Maybe one day we can have some fun, decent clubs.
Best bar in Akron
Very clean and stylish. Friendly good looking bar tenders. They often display work of local artists. It has a great dance floor and good music. The crowd is gay but the staff will tell you it is a hetero friendly club. A testament to the people of Akron.
Tres chic and tres twink
This bar used to be called "Metro." Metrosexual is the right word. It is very sleek and ultra cool. But don't expect a hook up or manly men. I'd rather go to Tearez or even Adams Street.
The best and most ¨upscale¨ bar in Akron
This is a small, ¨upscale¨ bar in the Highland Square neighborhood of Akron. It is clean and has a small dance floor and couches to sit and chat. On Saturdays it is very packed and gets a lot of business while as on other nights it is just plain dead. Lastly, it was voted the best gay bar in Akron in 2008....like that means anything at all.
